Overview: Learn about different spices and where they originate from around the world! Smell samples of each one and guess what it could be. How does each smell make you feel?
Materials:
- ECSEL Tool: Our Emotions Cards
- Printed or virtual images of 4-5 different countries and a spice from each country
- A small amount of each chosen spice (2-4 tbsp)
- Small resealable plastic bags with labels (at least 1 per spice, more if necessary)
- Permanent marker
- Paper/Journals for documenting children’s predictions
- Writing utensils (pencil, marker, etc.)
