Overview: Create dinosaur feet out of recycled materials and act out emotional dinosaurs in a Stomp Like a Dinosaur obstacle course using Our Emotions Cards.
Materials:
- ECSEL Tool: Our Emotions Cards
- 2 recycled boxes per child (tissue boxes work best – boxes should be small enough to fit on children’s feet)
- Butcher block paper
- Tape
- Hole puncher
- Rubber bands or twine
- Body-safe paint
- Paint brushes, sponges, rollers, etc.
- Fly swatters
- Collage materials
- Glue
- Trays
- Children’s smocks
- Obstacle course materials (e.g., circle time dots, hoola hoops, etc.)
- Open space (e.g., cleared areas of the classroom, gross motor space, or outdoor space weather permitting)
