Overview:
Transform your dramatic play center into a Jurassic Period dinosaur den! Support children in working together to brainstorm ideas, construct and create, and use their new dino-themed imaginative space!
Materials:
- ECSEL Tool: Our Emotions Cards
- Poster or large writing pad
- Marker (teacher use)
- Several printed-out images of Jurassic Period dinosaur scenes (e.g., landscapes, volcanoes, trees, dinosaur nests, etc.)
- Various art supplies (e.g., markers, crayons, colored pencils, construction paper, felt, collage materials, whatever you have available!)
- Various recycled materials (e.g., cardboard boxes, scrap paper, plastic cups and containers, paper towel rolls — anything you have access to, but feel free to use what you have in your classroom as well!)
- Tape
- Scissors (child-safe)
- Dinosaur toys/manipulatives
- Plastic eggs
- Baskets
