Rain Cloud in a Jar

Overview: Students will get the chance to explore and observe how rain is created! The jar of water represents the atmosphere, the shaving cream acts as a cloud, and the colorful liquid acts as the rain.

Materials:

• Printed images of different types of weather patterns
• 1 large clear plastic jar
• Plastic or paper cups
• Shaving cream
• Food coloring or liquid watercolors
• Water
• Pipettes/droppers
