Overview: Find a classroom favorite instrumental and support children in writing their own lyrics to a class dinosaur song to accompany the instrumental with prompting questions.
Materials:
- A large poster or piece of chart paper to write down the song’s lyrics
- Colored markers (use a black marker for lyrics and a different colored marker for each emotion)
- An instrumental song (tip: it might be easiest to pick a song where children or the teachers/adults already know the melody)
- A device for playing music
